Scammer posting on the Montreal Kijiji classifieds website, Auto section, posing as Louis Graham, email address louisgraham311@gmail.com, with associated Telephone Number 514-271-4308 (Montreal number)

  2. frank said, on June 22, 2011 at 6:55 am

louisgraham311@gmail.com strikes again through Kijiji then ask you to provide your name and address so he can register you with his fake ebay company. He stopped sending emails when I asked him for his address info in the UK and his phone number.

My son just emailed him about a 2002 red GMC 1500 pickup on autotrader in Calgary. Got response that truck was in storage in thunder bay and that he had moved to uk. I smelled a rat and responded -sounds like bullshit. This guy is a real piece of sh*t

Louis Graham is still trying to scammed somehow with a false used car (Volvo XC90) ad on Auto hebdo. I am glad this database exists and that people like you fills it and consults it.

I got a reply from Louis Graham regarding a similar ad for an Infiniti G35 from autotrader.ca. The story was the same that he has moved to UK, and the car is in Thunder Bay with a shipping company. Sent me lot of pictures of the car as well. Made it look very real, but then I ran into this forum, and got my suspicions right because when something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. thanks everyone for the heads up

Glad I put this guys email into goole and got this scammer comments. Here is what the guy emailed me about a 2001 Siverado truck stored in Thunder Bay:

    From: Louis Graham [mailto:louisgraham311@gmail.com]
    Sent: July-04-11 3:01 PM
Subject: Re: Chevrolet Silverado 2500 2001

I have attached some photos to my email. I’m in England. Look how this works:

    1. I will contact eBay and give all the info about this deal.
    2. They will send us the forms by email – for you about the payment.
    3. I will send the vehicle to your location and you will send a 50% deposit to eBay.
    4. After you will inspect the vehicle and decide to keep it, they will transfer the money into my account.

    RETURN POLICY:
If by any reason the vehicle is not as described, or if you find any problems with it I will pay for the returning fees. I’m sure it won’t be the case because the vehicle is in excellent condition.
As soon as the vehicle arrives, you will test it and if it does not match 100% to your expectations, you will return it in max. 5 working days since the arrival date. In this case you will send me the vehicle in the same condition you received it.

The estimated time of delivery is 2 to 5 days, with no scratches, it is professionally crated.

Please provide me with your full name and shipping address so I can register the deal with eBay.

    Thanks

Same scam, different alias (Brenda Baker) and story. This time the scammer lives in kitchener waterloo but is in thunder bay renovating a family home and requires a bigger car for her twins.

Peter, I don’t know for sure if my car will still be on the market when I’ll be back home. I hope not, because the price is set up for a fast transaction and I need a 7 seater very fast, twins don’t seem to fit in a regular car these days:). I found one already but the seller wants me to move fast, hence my affordable offer. the cash I’m getting from my car is gonna help me upgrade to my wish. anyway, I knew it from the beginning that I must leave town and finish the house here, hence the eBay alternative to sell my car. the eBay Vehicle Protection Program acts as a neutral third party to guarantee a safe transaction between both parties. In brief, this is how it works:

    1. once I have your full name, address and phone# I will forward them to eBay so you will be notified with the forms needed for this transaction (invoice, payment instructions, buyer and seller protection policy).

    2. upon starting the process and your decision to move forward, you will be notified on every step taken. the car is already at eBay shipping company here in TB, in their custody, along with the title and all papers/documents. Their British shipping company will be in charge of the delivery process to your door and handling payment. The vehicle will be brought over in order for you to inspect/test it – loaded on a trailer and fully insured during the trial period and transportation. This comes with up to 5 days inspection period (the shipping fee is $149 and you will only be charged upon vehicle acceptance). Full payment is required by eBay to do this, using bank transfer as method of payment. For obvious safety reasons, any payments are being handled directly through them and their British shipping company, so I’m only getting paid at the end, once you’ll be in possession of the car and upon your decision to keep it. On the other hand, full refund is also guaranteed same day in case you decide not to, with no shipping back costs to pay. these are the terms so let me know what you think please and if you’re into it, please email me your info (full name, address and phone#) so I can contact eBay in order initiate the transaction as soon as possible for your convenience.

Thanks and looking forward to your reply,
    Brenda

I saw a 2003 Honda Accord EX for sale(by dealer section) and when I emailed, this is what he sent me back. I thank you for this website to help me confirm that this could be a scam!

    Hello,

I`m SSgt. David Damrell. You have to know that the 2003 Honda Accord EX 4 Cyl Automatic I am selling is 100% working and great looking, no flaws or dents, no scratches or any kind of damage. This detailed vehicle makes the exterior looks like it just came off the assembly line.

(if the above link does not work copy and paste it into a new web browser window)
As I know that my current situation is pretty special I want the deal closed only through eBay’s Buyer Protection Program in order for you to be 100% protected. You will make the payment to eBay and they will hold the money until you receive the car. ONLY AFTER you receive the car and inspect it (for 10 days) eBay will release the payment to me; in this way we are both protected. Anyway i am sure that if you won`t be satisfied with the car i will surely find another buyer in your area and there will be no need for you to ship the car back.
I am located in Madrid,Spain and I was sent here to improve the military relationships between our country and Spain. One month ago, my wife moved here with me and brought the car with her, but now we have to sell it back in the United States because In order to be able to register this car here, I would have to pay very high import/custom taxes. My final price on it is $ 1600. If you will take it for this price, I am willing to handle the shipping. It will be shipped from here by plane with US Air Military Cargo so it will not cost me anything. You will get it to the nearest airport in your area and then it will be trucked forward to your place. You will receive the car in about 4 days. Please get back to me asap if you decide to buy, and include in your e-mail your full name and address where you want it shipped so I can start the deal with eBay. You will receive all the transaction payment and shipping details from them.
    Respectfully,
    David Damrell

    Jane,

Thanks for posting. Please forward that email to abuse@photobucket.com and indicated the criminal nature of the abuse. They’ll close the album and make the scammer work a little harder to find another site for his photos.

This is the email I got in response to a vehicle I’d inquired about on craigslist.com. The scammer is mentioned above to have an msn account as well. The email address was abriannaelise@gmail.com.

    Hello,
This 2006 Honda Odyssey TOURING DVD PLAYER Van V6 engine, an automatic transmission and only 86,000 miles, has no leaks or drips and has never been smoked in. This car has been extremely well maintained with a full service history. I am the second owner of this car. I bought it when I was serving in Fort Belvoir and is slightly used in 100% working and looking conditions with a clear title free of encumbrances and liens. I have dropped my price to $2,800.00 USD since I need to sell it before February 18th, when I will be deployed in Afghanistan with my platoon replacing the troops scheduled to come home.If you’re interested to conclude this purchase in a timely manner email me your: FULL NAME and SHIPPING ADDRESS & PHONE NUMBER to open a case with eBay’s Buyer Protection Program and and they will contact you to explain the entire procedure. The financial part will be managed by them, which means that you will have a 7 days inspection period before committing to buy the vehicle. In this way both, buyer and seller are 100% covered during the steps of this transaction.
Hope to hear from you soon,Corporal Abrianna Elise…….

I found the listing on craigslist for Raleigh, NC. I figured it was too good to be true!

    Hello,

This 2007 Honda Odyssey EX-L is still available for sale and the asking price is $ 4500. It has not been involved in any accidents and all maintenance is up to date. Clean and clear title in hand and is ready to go.

The car is currently located at approximately five miles of Billings, MT. stored in military compound. It’s available for immediate pick-up but it could also be transported free of charge by a military carrier, the shipping process takes 2-3 business days from the shipping date to arrive. I’m looking for a quick sale, that’s why the price has been reduced to avoid wasting time with negotiations and find a buyer before my upcoming deployment take place.

For a complete description of the car and more photos, please click on the link below or copy and paste it into your browser window.

We were interested in an ad listing on Craigslist for Class C motorhome. Ad reads:
    ***
This is a well cared for, adult owned 2005 Bigfoot M-24SL Class-C MotorHome, which has always been garaged when not used and moderately used. To support my argument I’ve added a brief video presentation. Please Visit the following link for more details: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgCTpc-KE6Q

I’ve decided to reduce my initial asking price to $7000us since I’m pressed for time and I don’t want to waste more time negotiating. I need to find a buyer before my upcoming deployment take place. All the documents needed to finalize the sale has been prepared, I have the clean and clear title in hand ready to be transferred to the new owner

The MotorHome is currently located at approximately 50 miles of Kingsley Field AGS, OR. stored in military compound ready for dispatch. If you are not able to pick it up within 3 days, I can arrange to be delivered free of charge through a military transportation service, to a designated location of your choice. Average delivery time is 8 or 10 business days, depending on destination.

Thanks for your interest, hope to hear from you soon.
    ***
When we tried to make arrangements to see it, of course, he was about to be deployed and the only was possible to complete the transaction was through Google Checkout Program, even though we told him we could arrange to be there within two days.

He used two email addresses, with one being scv75@msn.com and the other steve-c75@msn.com. When I got suspcious and googled his email address, I found his address in your database.

    Thanks for your work.

    Same scam – different name.

Porsche cayman listed on kijiji. Seller claimed to be in Thunder Bay, Ont. renovating a family home. Many of the emails are copies of the ones posted word for word.

I found where the car was originally listed and where he stole the pictures from. Again suggested we use the Ebay Vehicle Protection program, and a $149 fee for shipping.

The name and email address used was: Elnora M. Moore

    Hello again,

I posted a comment within the “How do we apprehend these criminals?” comment section although I figured I’d add it to the first post of your blog. By the way, thank you for creating this space. It’s a good way to be able to help make people aware that these perpetrators still exist and will do anything to blindside anyone who is uneducated to the actions of these scm artists.

The following is the post I placed earlier:

    Hello,

I’d like report this email address – frnk2gz@gmail.com, to this blog because while doing a search, this website had it within it database as a fraudulent email address that has been reported doing scams. The ad was in Pensacola, Florida’s area Craigslist for a 2005 Infinity G35 for $3550.00. When I inquired about it, this is the response I received:

    Hi there,

The Infiniti it is in perfect condition, there’s not a scratch or any dents on it. Everything from engine to tires is mint condition. I have a clear title with no liens or loans. I’m selling it low as my medical team will deploy back to Afghanistan on May 30th for a 2 year contract and I won’t let it go to waste in my backyard, therefore I need a fast and reliable buyer. If you decide to buy it I will be paying for the shipping charges. The total price is $3,550.00 with no other hidden taxes. Please email me back if you are interested in buying it.

A few words about the car:
    – 2005 Infiniti G35
    – Mileage 65,200
    – Body Style Sedan
    – Exterior Color White
    – Interior Color Gray
    – Engine 6 Cylinder
    – Transmission Automatic
    – Drive Type 2 wheel drive
    – Fuel Type Gasoline
    – Doors Four Door
    – Vin: JNKCV51EX5M218743
    – Pics available at: http://s1158.photobucket.com/albums/p601/infiniti351/

    Best Regards,
Senior Medic Sgt. 1st Class Frank Gonzales

Red flags went up for the “shipping” statement and within the photobucket, the images contained mountains. There are none in Florida. The email has the vin number, so I did a Google search and found the vehicle in West Hollywood, California within a Carsforsale adsite for $14,990.00. The site had a phone number that I called and spoke to someone with a foreign accent who claimed not to know of Sgt. Gonzales or the Pensacola Craigslist ad. After speaking to the individual, I explained to them that I would report it as fraudulence. After the conversation I searched the email address and you. Therefore I am adding my own experience to your database.

If it’s too good to be true, most likely it is. So be cautious how you communicate and always read and research before making any transactions.

Question, are this scammers hijacking the email addresses of the people they communicate with? Have you heard anything like this. I ask simply because I’d hate to see them hijack mine.

    Thank you for blogging this.

    Sincerely,
    Michael

BTW, you asked that I include any other pertinent information such as a number or images. Here is the Craigslist ad:

Looking on Craigslist Philadelphia for a cheap used car, I found one that was really nice and really cheap. So I googled his name and it led me here. Thanks!
