I found the following on Craigslist. If this is a scam, which it is per your database, this is the 3rd one I’ve found on Craigslist in my search for a personal water craft. FYI.

I just contacted this guy thinking a deal of a lifetime, right? Yeah sure. I’m glad I googled him first. He has this posted on craigslist and emailed back saying that he would post them on eBay for a buy-it-now for $5600 so we had buyer protection from paypal. Sure…if they are fast enough to get the funds from his bank before he closes it. He said that he couldn’t show them, but he could ship them out and that he had 100% feedback and had been an eBay member since 2002.

We almost made a huge mistake..thought the “jet skis” deal was great, but was concerned when the link that he gave us didn’t have ebay in the url. So we contacted ebay to see if he was legit and sure enough he was a scammer. So glad we didn’t send any money!

    Found another on Craigslist:

    REPLY TO : robert.drap@gmail.com

2002 Scamp 13′ Camper. This is a 13′ Scamp with the factory “package” options. I am the original owner and bought this new from the factory. It has a 3-way fridge, stove, furnace, 110 outlets, 12volt outlet, 12 gallon fresh water tank, screen door, 20lb. propane tank, 12v battery, sink, and a Fantastic Fan. I added removable/adjustable shelves in the clothes closet to make it into a pantry for food. Everything works perfectly. This sleeps 4 with a dinette that converts to a double bed and the couch that converts to bunk beds. This Scamp is in excellent condition. It has been stored indoors year round since new. In the winter it is put on jack stands with the wheels off the ground and stored in a heated garage. It has not been smoked in and I have not cooked in it. It does not leak. There are some rock chips on the lower front from being towed but nothing major. In the inside of the silverware drawer there is some paint worn away from the silverware tray sliding around. There are some marks in the fridge from cans rubbing on the sides. I have all the original paperwork that goes with it. It weighs approximately 1100 lbs. with a hitch weight of around 100lbs. The tires are in good shape and the camper is ready to travel. It has a 6-way rv plug for wiring. It does not have trailer brakes.

I expressed interest & asked to see it – got the following reply …

The tractor is already at a shipping company in Florida, my brother in law works for. He promises me he will deliver tractor at no cost in all the US cities while I’m out of town. I also list it on eBay for a secure transaction using their VPP (vehicle purchase protection) program. If you are still interested in buying the tractor I can give you the link to my auction. It’s a buy it now auction so you won’t have to bid.
    Thank you for your time.

I’m willing to bet that the e-bay link he’d send wouldn’t be to e-bay !!!!!

Yep, george.sabir@gmx.com now, and that tractor ad is all over craigslist. Same replies. Need to use crazedlist.com and tag all the ads in every location somehow. That price is too good to be true, even if some of the ’99 era tC33d broke in half.

    Bill,

Craigslist is not very helpful with this subject. See their page http://www.craigslist.org/about/help/ .

    Hi,
As of 10/17/11 this person has resurfaced. I recently came across the add for the Tractor being listed in Cheektowaga, NY. It’s exactly that 1999 New Holland TC33D tractor add shown at the top of this page.
He’s going by the name of Mario P Sauceda, email being mario.p.sauceda@gmail.com, sent on Sprint Now Network.
Explanation for the great deal being that, “I wanted to keep the tractor but I need cash to pay the mortgage on my house and during this financial crisis you can’t sell anything for its real value. So if you are interested please email me back so I can explain you how we’ll handle the transaction.”
I responded that I would like to see it, and within 5 mins he replied ” The tractor is already at the shipping CO. located at approximately five miles of Del Rio, TX. My brother in law works for. He promised me to deliver the tractor at no cost all over the U.S.”
“The terms of the transaction: They will send you an invoice on how to complete the transaction. They will also send you an email with the VPP (Vehicle Purchase Protection) terms. After you send the payment to one of their representatives you will receive the tractor right at your doorstep within 3-4 days. Please note that your money will be kept by their representative until you receive the tractor. You will have a 5 day trial inspection and test driving. If you want to keep the tractor they will release me the money, if you don’t want it you will receive a full refund of your money wich you sent. If your really interested to move forward just email me back with your full name, delivery address, mobile number and my shipping agent will contact you to explain the purchasing procedure. I will also give you a tracking # and you can check the shipping process after the shipping will be started.”
Well, This sounds like a great deal to me. I will let you know how it goes…
