This e-mail message was sent to you from eBay , with the full support of the eBay Payment Security Inc.
Complete your eBay transaction in 5 easy steps:
1. Buyer and seller agree on the transaction terms and a selling price. Seller contacts eBay with the transaction details;
2. eBay accepts the transaction and offers purchase protection to the buyer (if the transaction is declined, no further action is required from either the buyer or the seller);
3. The buyer sends payment to eBay Safe Harbor. After the payment is made , the buyer must notify eBay sending the payment details ONLY to our SafeHarbour Team. The seller has three business days to provide eBay and the buyer with the transport tracking number. If no tracking number is provided, a full refund is immediately sent to the buyer.
4. Buyer receives the merchandise and has 10 (ten) days to inspect it. If it is as expected and as what agreed over, the buyer should accept the merchandise. If he refuses the merchandise by any valid reason, the buyer must ship the merchandise back to the seller at the seller’s expense within three business days.
5. Upon the inspection period, buyer must contact eBay with the result of the inspection. If buyer refuses the merchandise, a full refund will be sent to the buyer after the tracking number for the returning shipment is verified.

It is recommended to send the payment as soon as possible, because your purchase protection plan is valid for 30 days only. Sending the payment by any other method of payment will void this transaction and your right to a refund.

    I found a 2006 Nissan Maxima on Craigs List for $2,980. The deal was to God to be true but I’m gullible enough to thing Good can do anything, especially when it comes to blessing me. So I emailed the seller what’s the catch, he told me he’s in London in the Military deployed by thee U.S. and can’t register the vehicle so needs to sell. I’m praising God but at the same time using my good judgment. I googled the VIN# 1N4BA41E86C854562 and found that the same car was being sold everywhere. I questioned him about it but instead of an answer he sent me this eBay Motors Purchase VPP Invoice # O7774553 – 2006 Nissan Maxima SE Email from Ebay safe harbor that looked so authentic and read like everything you have above even the address, the names where the only difference.. I was ready to send the cash but I decided to Google the E-mail address provided and the London fax# and I got this website. I knew it was too good to be true but know I know that I know. Glory be to the Jesus. I thank him for guiding me here and I thank God for using you as a vessel of truth and warning. God Bless You.

    Please keep up the good work.

    I also had this same exact scam just recently today 2/19/2010. I did not follow through thank god due to already being edgey about the email they sent that looks just like that one above. So I did some research and found this site. Thank you!!!

    Elissa, thanks for leaving a comment. We wish everyone were as “edgy” as you so that just a teeny – tiny bit of research could save them some cash. Spread the word about these criminals — education is the best tool we are aware of right now. — Chief

    Wow… I am so thankful for all who have posted this information.. I recieved the same response e-mail after responding to this ad on craigs list.. I was jumping up and down I was so excited but once the euphoria passed I wanted to know more about the payment process through e-bay, and thats when I found links about scams that have been using e-bay as a payment option, still I was giving Allen and his wife the benefit of the doubt.. Before finding this information I responded to them that I would buy the car and I needed a few days to get the money together… I guess I already know word for word what the response would be.. Thank god for not letting this happen to me, and I give my deepest remorse to those who have made this mistake already in order for me to learn my lesson without losing all of my savings.. Shame on these evil, evil, scammers!

    Jess, thank goodness your gut feel told you to check out the Ebay process. Of course you now know that Ebay does not facilitate this type transaction unless it is through their auction site. Do tell all your physical and internet neighbors about your experience and how these criminals nearly scammed you. It is our greatest desire to be forced into shutting down this blog because no one is “buying” the scammers’ lies. — Chief
