I received this email in an exchange with a scammer posing as an Ebay Vehicle Protection Program representative. 100% SCAM !

This e-mail message was sent to you from eBay , with the full support of

the eBay Payment Security Inc.    *

*1.* Buyer and seller agree on the transaction terms and a selling price.

Seller contacts eBay with the transaction details;

*2.* eBay accepts the transaction and offers purchase protection to the

buyer (if the transaction is declined, no further action is required from

either the buyer or the seller);

*3.* The buyer sends payment to eBay Safe Harbor. After the payment is

made , the buyer must notify eBay sending the payment details ONLY to

our SafeHarbour Team. The seller has three business days to provide eBay

the buyer with the transport tracking number. If no tracking number is

provided, a full refund is immediately sent to the buyer.

*4.* Buyer receives the merchandise and has 10 (ten) days to inspect it.

eBay SafeHarbor takes several steps to protect both the Buyer and Seller against fraud:

He sent me the same info, I can’t believe these people are doing this, I’m glad we actually tracked him down, I wish they could go to jail, I don’t want to say this but sometimes I thinkebay nor craiglist are behind all of this mess, well if you have any comments or questions feel comfortable, and if you are a hacker or work for the goverment and want to get all the info I have I ‘d be more than glad to do so .

    This person just scammed us big time and we are poor, can someone please tell us how or if we can ever get our money back. and if not help find the jerk that did it.

    Method of operation: He buys several things at a time. Currently about 3 or 4 from the same buyer. He waits until he receives the box of stuff. Next he reverses paypal charges after receiving items. In case in question he was shipped 4 items. He claimed when he opened the box there was only 1 item inside and gets ebay to give him your money from the 3 items he claims are missing.

    Just looked on Craigs list for a truck. Price was amazing. The truck will be shipped from
    Seattle Washington to me, Seller will pay shipping costs. I have to send money through
    Western Union to an E-bay rep in London. Is this too good to be true. Is this a
    scammer. Please let me know.

    Yes, Alyce, it is a scam. No one ships vehicles for free. Ebay does not have “financial representatives” taking payments via Western Union. Ebay owns Paypal.
